“You have to find something that you love enough to be able to take risks.” – George Lucas
I consider myself lucky to have been able to do as that quote says – I work in a job I love in an industry I remain endlessly excited about and where every job is different. There are always new roles to cast, new genres to explore, new directors to work with to help create that special magic that happens when talent and vision align.
Being able to interpret a director’s vision is a crucial part of the job. Alongside in-depth experience – on both sides of the camera – an innate understanding of character and of the actor’s process enables me to do this.
I am never without my casting cap on. My passion for spotting new talent is matched by a gut instinct I’ve learnt to trust. I approach each and every casting with a fresh eye and I never stop being excited by the thrill of pairing the perfect actor to the perfect role.
